Asher is a strong proponent of the ‘rescue culture’ and has gained a reputation for striving to ensure the survival of a struggling business wherever possible.

His experience includes not only corporate insolvencies and closures but also mid-corporate reviews and reconstructions across many industry sectors.

Asher is a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and the Insolvency Practitioners Association. He sits on R3’s Education Courses and Conferences Committee and on the London Region Committee, where he regularly organises and speaks on courses.

He joined David Rubin & Partners as a partner in January 2003, having previously specialised in corporate recovery and insolvency at PricewaterhouseCoopers (previously Coopers and Lybrand) for ten years.

He has a degree in accounting and finance and is both a chartered accountant and a licensed insolvency practitioner.

Asher is married and enjoys spending time with his young twin sons and daughter. He also enjoys running, playing football and, like Paul Appleton, is a keen supporter of Arsenal Football Club.
