Rod works closely with Paul Appleton in the Holborn office. Originally from New Zealand, he has lived in the UK for over 25 years and has been a partner of the practice since 2003.

Rod has always been interested in the human aspect of accountancy. In New Zealand, his work as an Inland Revenue inspector took him out on the road and provided first-hand experience of the many factors that affect business performance. When his career moved to the UK he again worked directly with business owners in his position as auditor for a UK accounting firm.

Since joining David Rubin and Partners in 1996, Rod has specialised in both corporate and personal insolvency, working closely with the management of insolvent companies to effect turnarounds where possible.

Rod is married and spends much of his time trying to keep up with his two teenage daughters. When he has spare time he enjoys outdoor sports and the exploration of the British countryside and its wealth of industrial architecture.
