Stephen Katz is the most recent member of the team at David Rubin & Partners and is based at the Holborn office.

Having qualified as a chartered accountant with HW Fisher & Company in 1988, Stephen spent three years in audit before heading up the firm’s business development and investigation team, specialising in business acquisitions, due diligence and pre-lending reviews.

In the early 1990s, Stephen assisted in setting up a dedicated insolvency team at HW Fisher & Company. He qualified as a licensed insolvency practitioner in April 1995 and subsequently became Head of Insolvency.

Stephen has considerable experience across a wide range of industry sectors and has acted in a number of cross border insolvency cases, resulting in him undertaking work in Europe, Sub-Sahara Africa, USA and the Bahamas.

Stephen is married with two children and has four dogs, but he still manages to find time to practise two styles of karate at black belt level.
