John has a wealth of experience in advising restaurants, nightclubs, property, construction and luxury brands in and around the South East. He qualified as an accountant with a top 25 City firm in 1979 and joined a West One ‘Music Business’ boutique practice shortly thereafter.
John decided that a small practitioners life may be more suited to him, and he set up his own niche practice, The Kelmanson Partnership, in late 1982. In 1986 he obtained an Insolvency Licence, and gradually diverged from his traditional Accounting, Tax and Audit role, in order to specialise in personal and corporate Insolvency.
After 36 years trading and prolonged growth, he backed his Partnership into David Rubin and Partners in 2018, where he intends to commit his senior experience to, prior to retirement.
He is fellow of the ACCA, IPA & R3
John is married, with 4 adult daughters, and lives in Hertfordshire. His personal interests are principally Haute Horlogerie, Sports cars, Travel, Cinema, Cycling and Tottenham Hotspur.
