Stephen joined the team at David Rubin & Partners’ Holborn office in 2009, having previously held the post of Head of Insolvency at HW Fisher and Company.

After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1988, Stephen led HW Fisher and Company’s business development and investigation team, specialising in business acquisitions, due diligence and pre-lending reviews. In the early 1990s he was instrumental in setting up a dedicated insolvency team for the firm. After qualifying as a licensed insolvency practitioner in April 1995, he went on to lead this team as Head of Insolvency.

Stephen brings considerable experience across a wide range of sectors and has acted in a number of cross border insolvency cases, leading him to work as far afield as Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, the USA and the Bahamas.

Stephen is married with two children and has four dogs, but he still manages to find time to practise two styles of karate at black belt level.
